Currently
Yes, currently there are 30 students in my class…..we were ranked in Animal A and P 2….I am one of four students currently passing this class. I’m passing by the skin of my teeth BUT I am passing…. O.O How is this happening. Sorry if you feel neglected tumblricans, I’ve been neglecting everyone lately.

So much frustration....
So….I scored a 75% on ONE of my midterms……WHAT THE HELL!?!?!?!?! I seriously don’t understand what the BLEEP I am doing wrong. I’ve tried keeping the same study strategies as A and P one (that didn’t work). I also have tried changing it up a bit (this hasn’t worked either), so here I am at 4 a.m., a nervous wreck, trying to understand WHY I suck so...

Midterms tomorrow
Just hoping that I do better in my Animal A and P II midterm compared to my previous exams…
Chapters:
Cardiology, Monogastric, Respiratory, Lymphatic, Immunity, Digestive Comparative Anatomy (Monogastric, Hindgut, Ruminant).
Algebra exam SEEMED easy enough, but we will see. I am seriously just clawing my way through this until I can devote all my time to find a job this summer.

Exhaustion
I am quickly becoming exhausted with this quarter. Between my struggle in A and P 2 and my absolute hatred of Algebra I just want to be DONE!! I am excited that IF I am accepted into my program I will be able to focus ONLY on my career and not have to worry about other classes that aren’t pertinent to my daily performance. I was tanking on my prelabs until this past Wednesday when we did the...

So much win and fail
So….the opposite of my assumed position is occurring. I am doing fairly well in Algebra but sucking in Animal A and P 2…..HOW IS THIS HAPPENING?!?!?! Okay…no seriously. A and p two is a doubled weighted course. It is better for me to excel in that compared to Algebra which is a flat course. I’m SO glad that I better understand Algebra, but I was doing SO well in A and P...

On the issue of ethics
Had an emergency come up on Friday. My mother in law’s 14 year old dog was dyspneic, ataxic, and was displaying signs of being blind in her right eye. This left the dog in a panic.
As a back story my mother in law needs to rethink some life decisions and possibly make some changes. People sometimes enable her by paying for her things instead of teaching her how to better manage her...

House stuff and algebra
I really am enjoying this new professor. :) She’s very helpful and really helps drive the language of algebra home by making it easy to comprehend. I got a 92% on my first exam over the cardiovascular system. :) It’s a good start, but I would like to get better eventually. Still aiming for a 4.0 in this class. I’m also aiming for a 4.0 in Algebra as well, as I would love to be...

Short update :)
I can feel my mood rising with the temperature. No, seriously, I think I need to move somewhere more temperate and less “nuts”. Good ole’ Michigan weather. Today the temp is hovering around 70 degrees and I LOVE it!! :D
Anywho, I am busy at work after switching to an on ground course for math and I am SO pleased I did. The teacher is wonderful and only does homework, quizzes,...

Spring 2013 update
It has now been a year since I started classes……yeah…a Year…….ALREADY!
I am happy to report that the first week of Animal A and P II went splendid! We started out our lab class by dissecting a cow heart, since we are studying cardiology. I also managed to ace my first lab quiz over heart anatomy. This morning we started the physiology portion and I now understand...

Animal Anat and Phys 2 starts tomorrow.
Yes….my two week break is ALREADY over……classes for Spring quarter started today. I still trudging through Algebra as I will continue to….I also do hope that it gets easier….but that is only wishful thinking, no such logical thinking behind that. My prof has absolutely horrendous reviews on ratemyprofessor.com and she still seems to be displaying the same behaviors as...

Started reviewing Algebra class material.
I can confidently say that I am frightened. It’s a 4 credit hour class, however the amount of class work that is being flown through is nuts! I am covering the entirety of my high school Algebra 1 class in a matter of 6 weeks. The same algebra class that I took 3 times over. Talk about trial by fire. I do believe I was more frightened by our professor’s insane amount of information...

Introductory Algebra: T-3 days.
The last time I “attempted” algebra was in high school, and my highest grade was a D…..yep…..not to say that I tried really hard, (Because I didn’t….I really, really didn’t). The material that I will be studying for the next 6 weeks will be on par to that same high school algebra class that I took 3 times. (This is a reflection of my past laziness, not...

Sitting here in front of my computer continuously...
I am anxiously waiting for our registration page to refresh so I an register for Animal A & P II which starts this spring (in 2 weeks). I know that we are studying the cardiovascular system so I can start there. I know all the parts of the heart, I just need a refresher. Hopefully this will be a great start to my next class. :)
No breaks, let the studying begin. ;p

Some times "failure" is success in disguise
I’m sad to report that I did not achieve the 4.0 that I originally was aiming for in Animal Anatomy and Physiology I, however I was 3 points away from it. :) I was so close.
Week one we started with around 60 people in our class. By week ten when we took our final exam we were down to around 30 people. People failed, people dropped, they “didn’t expect the class to be so...

If you read any of my posts....please.....read...
For the longest time this quarter I was afraid. I doubted myself heavily on my abilities to attain my original goals.
I had felt as if I, for once, had set my standards too high and I would not be able to attain them despite the heavy workload I had put into it. Everyone has a different example of what failure is…..for this class an 84% is the LOWEST passing grade you can receive. For...

You learned WHAT in class?
Yesterday we learned about how Kourtney Kardashitstain pulled her own baby out of her vag, and had a “silent” birth…. O.o…….WHY AM I SUBJECT TO THIS NONSENSE?!?!?!?
Luckily I am almost done with this class. I have a lab final today and a lecture final tomorrow. I am VERY nervous regarding the lab final because it’s in the same format as the lab midterm. (It was...

Week 10: Finals...dun dun DUN!!!!!
This is the ominous finals week. I have calculated that in order to attain my 4.0 I can only miss 6 more points. :( I was hoping that I would have done better, however this class has been both tougher and easier than I anticipated. It is difficult because there is MUCH knowledge to be gained and lots of read, know, and study, but it’s easier because I had anticipated harder questions and...

Last exam before finals! EEP!!
Today is our last exam before we take finals in a week. Yes, eep! O.O
I can say these 10 weeks have flown by. This whole YEAR has flown by already. I can’t believe it’s already March. I do have to say that once my husband’s birthday rolls around we come into my favorite time of the year!! Later spring into early summer. :D I keep day dreaming about being able to take my computer...

Wishful thinking, not veterinary related.
After our dumping of 6 inches of snow last night, I really really REALLY want summer. I want to be able to lay on the beach with my husband, hear the waves gently caress the sand, and listen to incubus underneath the bright beautiful sun on a Saturday afternoon.
Yep…oh, and I’m dissecting the brain of a sheep today.

Crunch time
It is now officially week 9 out of 10. I have my LARGEST speech tomorrow for Oral Communications (persuasive speech). I have an exam in Animal A & P I Thursday and then NEXT Thursday I have our final exam….. O.O….SO MUCH STUFFS. Let it be known that the material is over the nervous system and the endocrine system…..yup…uh oh!
Today is definitely a purpose games day,...

I think anyone who has had to memorize the 12 cranial nerves would know where this acronym comes into play. We are on week 8 of 10 weeks and BOY it has flown by. I currently hold a 93% in the class, but I need a 94% to get a 4.0. I even have the amount of total points I can miss, all calculated to keep track of how many points I can “miss”. (Not that I wish to miss any).
We recently...

As stated in the topic, I LOVE being busy. Downtime is all PART of the busy-ness though. Making time for yourself. :)
Since busting my knee in October of 2008 (ripped my ACL off) and later having surgery in June of 2009 I have suffered by not being fit anymore. (I used to be an all sport athlete in middle and high school). I felt icky all the time, moody, and just plain crappy. Since marrying my...

Okay, this post is a wee bit personal….so, yesterday and today is JUST ridiculous. I was diagnosed with mild to moderate PTSD from an abusive relationship from the past. I’ve had it for years, even when my husband and I first started dating I had an issue with being touched in different ways because I would have flashbacks and very mild panic attacks (I was experienced enough to know...

Checking "Graded" papers is important.
Per the title I can NOT stress enough how important checking your work after is it “graded” really is. I came to find out that I had been marked off an extra point on accident, somebody counted wrong, or something, and it was marked off. I also found QUITE a few things that were right due to the wording of the question, so those SHOULD be corrected immediately. In addition to that I...
